The best movie I’ve seen in the past year: “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Energetic; funny; kind.

What are your three favorite apps? Twitter; GroupMe; Tinder.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? Bubba Watson because he is a lefty like me (sorry, Phil Mickelson).

How did you get started playing the sport or sports you play now in high school? My parents joined Mendakota Country Club and they dragged me along to the course.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … scared and out of place. I was intimidated by the seniors.

What did you work on most prior to the season? My short game and improving my swing.

Favorite meal prior to a meet? Coca-Cola and Skittles.

How do you balance school and sports during the year? I don’t. I try to stay on top of my grades as early as possible. I’ve learned that with playing a sport, I always have to look ahead at my school schedule and manage my time as best I can.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? The Minnesota Gophers and Wild. Even though I’m not on a hockey team anymore, I like to keep up with other teams and watch hockey.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? “It’s not the hand you’re dealt ... it’s the way you play it.”
